aisha_renovatesMain bedroom refresh. Nothing structural, just new plaster on one wall that was blown, soft grey paint, new carpet and blinds, and we finally put the bed on the long wall. Calmest room in the house now.

aisha_renovatesSmall win this week: the old lean-to by the back door is now a proper utility room. Washer and dryer stacked, a deep sink for muddy boots and a run of tall cupboards for the hoover and ironing board. The kitchen feels twice the size without the washing machine in it.

aisha_renovatesKitchen is finally done! We knocked through into the old dining room to get one big space, and the island is where everyone ends up now. Went for white shaker doors, a marble-effect quartz top and brushed brass handles. Nine weeks start to finish, and I'm not going to pretend we enjoyed the microwave-and-kettle phase.
